The time and effort people spend on preserving these old machines, go beyond most peoples normal skills of perfection. Most of them work voluntary and many work full time.
I wanted to help them to get the visitors in, so they too can enjoy themselves, and have enough money to carry on, which was how I thought about the webiste, as I still have much trouble in who and where is out there, finding these places, and getting there and back.
Therefore it all started about two years ago, and it just happened, that I used and old website I had access to, to put up some pictures for people to download, as it was the easyist way of doing things.
It moved on from there, as more suggestions came in, we expanded and implemented the changes and added more pictures. It is a time consuming job, editing web pages and we do it all by hand. So if there is a mistake on a page, you will find the same mistake duplicated, so please lets us know so we can correct things.
Last year, the website had grown so much we had to start all over again, with a new layout. This took us two weeks to implement the changes, and we have made many more changes since.
It came to the situation, do we go professional! Yes was the reply, so we decided that it would have to have it's own site, which is where you are now.
We have since created some more struture changes, to speed up the access time to our site, which has proven to be a good move, especially for those on dial up connections. So you still make find a few mistakes, but please continue to let us know.
Since the introduction of the Waterways, things have gone mad here, and with the page counts improving. Therefore we have created the G900's sequence to cater for the initial repsonse. I say this, because the G800's will also have to be devoted to the cause.
